At Coach Kids Better, we believe every coach has the power to shape a child’s love for the game. Our mission is to equip you with simple strategies, playful lesson plans, and practical tips that make coaching not just easier, but more impactful, more fun, and more rewarding for both you and the kids you lead.
Our philosophy is simple: fun is the core of learning. When practices feel like play, kids stay engaged, learn faster, and want to keep coming back.
But it’s about more than soccer, it’s about passing on your passion for the game and creating positive first experiences with sports. The lessons you teach now can help kids build confidence, resilience, teamwork, and a lifelong love for being active. With the right tools, you’re not just running practices, you’re shaping how kids feel about the game and about themselves.
Coach Kids Better was created to support volunteer coaches with the tools and confidence they need to succeed. Coaching at this age isn’t about winning games or running perfect drills, it’s about sparking joy, building confidence, and helping kids fall in love with soccer.
Together, let’s make coaching easier, more rewarding, and filled with joy, for you and the kids you inspire.
Hi, I’m Coach Camilo. Soccer has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, I grew up in Colombia surrounded by the game and the passion that comes with it. Now, after more than 15 years of coaching, that same joy drives me to share the game with young kids and help coaches bring out the best in them.
I wanted to do more than just teach soccer skills, I wanted to truly understand kids. That’s why I earned a Master’s in School Counseling and completed over 12 units in early childhood education. This training gave me the tools to connect with kids, communicate in ways that build trust, and create an environment where learning and growth come naturally.
My joy is watching kids light up when they play, learn, and discover what they’re capable of. And my mission is to give coaches like you the tools to have that same kind of impact. Together, we can pass on the love of the game and make soccer a foundation for confidence, teamwork, and joy that lasts a lifetime.
